Security Deposit was finally returned after 5 months once legal action was about to go forward. June 2017 stay.

Property was okay aside from poorly maintained toilet on the third floor. However, the owners have been extremely difficult to work with from start to finish and have not returned a security deposit. I highly advise against renting from these people. Owner took forever to confirm rental and we thought we were out a place to stay. Once confirmed the property changed. She then told us to call her when we were 30 minutes away and she would meet up, which we did, and she did not pick up her phone for over 2 hours while we sat outside as our party arrived just calling and waiting for her. She talked rudely the entire time and assured me the security deposit would be returned within 30 days and that was over 5 months ago. I have texted, called and emailed politely several times and no response. I am now looking at what alternative methods I have to get my deposit back.
