I've eaten here 6 or 7 times and every single time I tried something different. I'm working my way through their spectacular menu. Every time I try something new, I am completely blown away at how much better the item is than expected. Even the meals of my party that I've tasted...meals I wouldn't have chosen that day, blow me away. I don't know who this chef is, but whomever he/she is...Trinity please give that chef whatever he/she desires because you can never lose him/her!! Everything from the appetizers to salads and soups and entrees are superb. By far the best food in the area. Cons: Pricey, but SO worth it! Also, service is extremely slow at peak times. I recommend going on weeknights or early on the weekends. Even if you never eat out during the week, I recommend trying this place just for the taste and experience. The atmosphere is great too. LOVE this place!!!

Went here last night (10/31) for the first time, though my wife had been here once before. She had said, prior to my experience, that the food was very good but the service was slow but that it had been a very busy night with a show at the Newton Theater. So I was unsure what to expect. Anyway, I ordered a burger and she ordered two tapas plates. One was shrimp and the other were fish tacos. Everything was very good and nicely presented. Our waitress was very attentive and even let me sample some beers prior to ordering. She was knowledgable about the different brands that they carried (there were a lot) so that was nice. The fish tacos were a tad spicy so just a warning if you order them. The restaurant is dark and beautiful and very historic (the building it's in is historic, not the restaurant itself). Parking is around back. We will definitely return!

Went for lunch again at Trinity last week and enjoyed the food and service. Their infamous spicy Shrimp,Hanger Steak sandwich and Crabcakes with an extra salad made us hummmm. We always enjoy coming to this place. You can taste the chef's culinary training. The chef needs to be recognized because in NNJ it's hard to find someone who can create such wonderful dishes that are extraordinary. Indeed if you want something different and delicious, don't hesitate! The bartender was friendly and entertaining! Service was great.
