Dr. Mostafa Alwakeel saved my life on 2/15/24. I am suffering root canal infection that has not been healing for months now and he provided me with the best possible options without jumping to extraction. He could have easily chosen to extract my tooth without weighing out the options but he considered my demographics and provided the best consultation. He advised my situation by considering my age and diagnoses. He provided me with antibiotics at my request which has helped regulate my symptoms during this very difficult time. I contacted my insurance carrier to find a dentist able to remove my Hg filling with HAZMAT in mind, and they found Rutgers University Dental. They made an appointment with me months ago. I waited patiently but then received a call about 2 weeks before the appointment that it was canceled. They won't make a new appointment because they are stopping using my insurance. Why did they tell the insurance they would help me then?

In July Dr. Shanti performed oral surgery to remove a tumor from my mouth. From beginning to present, he and his staff have been friendly, professional, and very helpful. Dr. Shanti, Dr. Wadkar, Dr. Derenzi, Crystala, and the entire staff are great. I recommend Rutgers Dental to anyone.

I brought my mom to get her wisdom teeth extracted and they let an intern doing the surgery without asking our permission. After they max out the anesthesia, they refuse to gave me so my mom had to went through the procedure in pain the whole time. Until the attending notice my moms mourning from outside. Very disappointed in the service we received. Will not recommend this place.
