Just like another review said, these people create barriers to get legal help. And When you do, the Attorney is of no help. The way our interaction went, It did not sound like I was talking to a professional. As soon as you see these people as your Pre paid legal, cancel immediately, you will be wasting your money.

I've been a member of Pre-Paid Legal (now known as Legal Shield) for almost 14yrs now (on and off). It's said in the business community that after the founder leaves the company, so does the quality of the customer service. I can honestly say, I've had nothing but good and satisfying experience with the ATTORNEYS, however as of recent, the customer service, namely the people that answer the phone at the NJ law firm (intake specialists) one in particular named Adel who was very condescending, rude and insulting has cause to me to close out my membership by end of this year. You have to speak to people like Adel before you get through to the attorney and she created every barrier she could to prevent me from speaking to one of the attorneys(hiding behind policies) instead of dealing with human side of customer service. Saying things like "didn't you hear what I said" and "what part didn't you understand" is not the way you talk to a member. I work in Healthcare and when someone comes into an emergency room or clinic, it's not for fun and they usually are at they're most vulnerable. Same thing in the legal world, when someone is calling a law firm, it's usually when they're going through something and need to be engaged with in a certain way, not belittled, disrespected and laughed at as if your membership has no value. If Harland Stonecipher (founder) was still alive and at the helm, this would not be happening. People like Adel, don't view they're job as helping people, for her, clearly it's a paycheck, but I remember a time when the intake specialists actually gave a dam and treated you with respect.
