Nice space, clean. Nice people overall. They want you to call to schedule your own appointment which seems atypical of most dental places and didn't allow me to schedule it while I was there. edit from 2023- the wait is pretty long now. expect over an hour wait for your appointment. saw many frustrated patients who waited similar length or longer.

This is one of the worst dental office. Billing department person is rude and cannot handle the insurance claims properly. Doctors are very unprofessional and dont bother to provide proper instructions and explanations. Just because I started dental process here, I have to visit. Thank god, I dont have to visit anymore. Be cautious with over the counter payment.

Terrible. I went around mid September and went in for a checkup and a cleaning , the dentist was extremely judgmental. First she told me I had 2 cavities but when we went to make an appointment for the fillings they wrote down that I had 6 cavities and wanted me to pay almost $500 for everything even with insurance. I called out the dentist and manager and was told that I misunderstood what she said, and that I needed to get 6 fillings. A couple months later I went to a different dentist and was told I only had 2 cavities. Not only did they lie but they were going to steal my money. A year before any of this I got a filling done and my tooth was hurting for months. I still sometimes get pain on the tooth I got the filling on.

I went for my first appointment this morning for a cleaning as a new patient. I was told that I needed to have X-rays since I was a new patient. I said that I had X-rays done at my last appointment with my old dentist and dont want them today. I was then told I had to have X-rays otherwise the dentist wouldnt know where to start. I said I dont have any issues and also mentioned that Ive never had a cavity and that I like going every 2 years for X-rays to minimize radiation. They then told me they could only proceed if my old dentist emailed them over (the old dentist was closed today). I was then told it was company policy that they cant do a cleaning without X-rays being done. IF its a company policy then why wasnt I told when I booked my appointment? biggest waste of time, I walked out of my appointment without a cleaning. Whenever Ive told a dentist in the past I dont want X-rays, they say no problem and continue with the cleaning. Cant help but feel like its a major money grab.. how can you force a patient into something they dont want to do?

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received when I called Eastern Dental of Parsippany today, April 28th, 2023, at 1:30 pm to book a teeth cleaning appointment. The customer service representative who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. She appeared to be impatient when asking for my information, and when I had collected all the information and called back, I could clearly hear her pick up the phone and hang up. This happened three times in a row, and it is unacceptable behavior from a customer service representative. I feel that her unprofessionalism has caused inconvenience to me, as well as the possibility of racial discrimination. I would like to request that this matter is taken seriously, and that appropriate action is taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future.
