Creative preparation in the French style, aka smaller portions. The seafood crab cake was very tasty and worth ordering again. We also ordered the beet salad and artichoke app which also were good selections. I would skip the baked oysters as it was breading on top of an oyster, not great. The arctic char was delicious, the lamb ragu was good and the monkfish was badly oversalted. The lamb ragu was served hot, the other dishes were warm at best. That needs to improve. The blood orange cake was delicious, a must have. The cheese cake is more of a cheese pie, good, not great. Service is friendly and good. The menu is interesting enough where I would definitely go back. With a few tweaks this could be a 5 star rating.

While having been born and raised in Montclair, Ive never experienced the discrimination that I did tonight. My husband and I attempted to dine here and were told there were no tables available. Even though there were plenty of tables available, we assumed they were booked for reservations until another couple came without a reservation and were immediately seated. We are completely disgusted by the discrimination that occurred here and being a true Mountie, I hope this never happens to any other resident of Montclair.

Baked oysters were so good, never tried that before and I loved it. The chicken was also beautifully cooked and had great flavors. I will be back for sure.

Earlier this week all I heard from my friend is that her friend is such a awesome Chef blah blah blah. All week I heard these proclamations. So this evening a appearance at this place is mandatory. After entering we were greeted by our server Katie who was the sweetest person youll ever meet. She got us seated, sparkling water in clean shiny glasses, toasted bread with a lemon butter mixture and I knew it was going down. The chef came out to say hello, and then I observed the menu and I didnt have the anxiety most vegetarians have. The menu was vegetarian friendly and would even subtract the meat from any other dish you have the taste for. I had a awesome meal and a nice conversation with a ex-mayor and his wife, who told me they come eleven to twelve times a month. The food is really well prepared and yummy. The place became crowded with families and couples rather fast, so its probably best to make a reservation. You can bring your own wine or alcoholic beverage. Awesome play and food. Ill definitely stop by whenever Im in the area.
