no response from the agent. Telephone number gets directed to Allstate main line. No response to emails in over three months. Held up my home refinance for two weeks. Allstate for 20 years, previous agent Ed Purcell was terrific. Im out.

Horrible customer service. Should be ZERO stars. I needed help with cancelling a policy which you cannot do in NJ without directly contacting an agent. Every time I called the private office number it re-routed me directly to the nationwide Allstate 800 number. I spent several days trying to get in touch with this office with NO ANSWER or returned email. Finally, I begged the customer service rep at the 800 number to help and she connected me to another local agent in NJ who would be able to cancel the policy. I have been an Allstate customer for over 30 years and when Ed Purcell owned the agency it was top notch. Now, its just awful. I will never do business with the Austin Court Agency ever again - and probably not with Allstate again either.

Like many others on this thread - managing to get hold of the agency is just terrible and the group is unresponsive. To make it more frustrating, corporate can not do anything as all changes have to be managed by a local agent. I am hoping that I dont have to go through the credit card compnay to keep disputing charges.
