I visited the dealership regarding a recurring low oil light issue with my new car. They informed me that it's normal for the light to come on every 1000 miles and conducted some tests, concluding that it falls within VW policy parameters. However, shortly after topping up the oil, the light reappeared within just 25 miles. When I contacted the dealership, I was informed that due to an oversight by the customer service representative Carolus, who should have conducted additional tests, my car was now out of warranty, and they couldn't assist further. This was conveyed by Manager Matt at the dealership. Seeking resolution, I involved VW Corporate, only to learn that I have a CPL warranty, requiring a deductible for each repair visit, even if for the same recurring issue. Despite the problem persisting for over a year under my previous warranty, and the dealership acknowledging their employee's error, Manager Matt responded rudely, suggesting I take my car elsewhere for repairs rather than addressing the mistake.

I visited the dealership (Fri, Mar 22) to pick up registration and have tags placed on vehicle. During this visit, I mentioned, to Gregory, the issues with the ID.4 re: passenger side rear door weather strip and creaking sound the driver seat makes when seated. He recommended an appointment. I said, "What about tomorrow?" He stated (paraphrase) "We don't do repairs on weekends." I then asked, "What do you do for customers who work 9-5, Mon-Fri? We then agreed upon Mar 28, 7:30 a.m. (email confirmation). I told him I had to be at work 7:30 a.m. in Jersey City. He then replied for me to arrive at 7 a.m. and then would be driven to work, via shuttle. The shuttle driver got lost (drove through Hoboken, NJ) and I arrived to work late, at 8 a.m. My vehicle was at the dealership the entire day and upon my return the weather strip had not been installed. According to Gregory, VW did not have the part, had to order part, and should take about 3 days. It would have been great if I had been updated much earlier re: weather strip instead upon my arrival at the end of the day, around 5 p.m.
