Nick is a great guy. Gave me an estimate for my driveway. We spoke for about an hour during estimate. I unfortunately could not have him do the work because my air handler broke for my AC. I feel he still gets a good rating because he took his time to come out and explain everything in detail.

Had the entire foundation under my raised home done and am extremely satisfied with the quality of work done. Work was timely and the entire crew put in their all to make it perfect. I'll definitely have them back when it comes time to pave the driveway.

AVOID FARIAS CONCRETE AT ALL COST! We called Nick to get a quote on a concreate driveway in Mid October 2019. Nick responded quickly, appeared to be professional, knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time with us mapping out our plan for our driveway. After hiring him he came out quickly and began digging out our driveway. Nick said he needed 2 full days to complete the preparation and two days to pour. He was not completely done with preparing our driveway to pour. He asked for $2000 for the work he did for preparation and then another $2000 to pour the concrete. After paying him he began to disappear. He promised repeatedly on different days he would be coming to pour and we took off of work each of these days to be there but he never came. He did this throughout the winter claiming the cold weather was why he couldn’t come, yet he was still doing other jobs. Come February there were multiple good weather days he could come but he never answered or showed up. Then in March and April he promised he would show almost every week. Our governor in late April put out a rule preventing construction projects due to the coronavirus but gave exemptions to this rule, specifically residential projects that were already started that can be done outside with a crew of less than 5 people. Therefore, Nick could still pour and did not bring up this rule at all and still said he was coming. We are at 6 months now with nothing but $4,000 down the drain. In May (7 months now) we texted him we were going to look into small claims court to get the money back. He then responded he has been unable to do any work due to the pandemic and our governor’s order, even though he already agreed to come the week prior. I pointed out the exemptions to the rule and Nick ignored it. Turns out two days later from when he used this excuse, the governor removed all restrictions on construction projects and any construction was allowed to take place. He then said we were his only priority and he would only be focusing on us and he would be out that Monday to pour. He obviously did not. By this time, it’s the first week of June and a worker of his finally shows up to frame out the drive way. His worker said they’ll be pouring Thursday. Three weeks went by. Since driveway is barricaded I can not remove my car or lawn mower from the driveway. On July 3rd he said he would drop it off that Monday July 6th. Monday comes and he didn’t show. We told him to come in the morning before his job and he said he would be here at 6:30 am. 6:30 comes and he texted us stating he’s was not coming because he left to go to another job. He then told us his wife will be coming to drop off the check but not until later because his kids aren’t awake. He tells us every hour that she will be there shortly then around 3pm changes it up and says we should meet her at a store nearby instead of our house. She hands us a form to sign before giving us the check, (which was not for the full amount) as he claims he did the initial work and the driveway is ready to pour but Farias Concrete cannot meet the scheduling needs that we requested even though we waited patiently for 9 months. We accepted the money due to wanting this over with and to hire someone ASAP. We immediately got three separate concrete companies to come and look at the driveway that we had estimates before. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM said that Farias did NOTHING and they would have to redo all his work as he didn’t clean the driveway, didn’t level the driveway, the forms he laid were wrong and too high etc. They each explained the same points in detail and showed me the parts that were wrong. We were willing leave this all behind us as then all we lost was time, but now we have lost money. We were extremely patient for 9 months and got taken advantage of. If there is any question to the legitimately of this review I have all the text messages and voicemails to prove it. I wouldn’t feel the need to post such a lengthy review and report him if we got our money back in full.

Do not use this business under any circumstances. We choose to work this local, family owned business rather a big named business to support people in our community. We were hoping the small local business would provide quality customer service on a more personalized level. What ensued was a nine month long nightmare. This company was hired in October 2019 to remove an existing driveway and lay a new one. The existing driveway was demolished, the driveway was left in rubble, and then no further work was accomplished. Mr. Farias would often promise to be at the job site but continually put it off. After 9 months of phone calls and text messages Mr. Farias provided no real explanation for why the job was not completed. We finally received a refund only after threatening to take legal action. The Farias Concrete business should recognize that when they are hired by someone in the community and they treat them so unprofessionally the public should be made aware of their poor business practices.
