When this store opened last winter it didn't have much - some deli sandwiches, some bakery items, and delicious pizza. It's grown in leaps and bounds since Spring 2017.. They carry everyday convenience items like milk, bread, creamer, beverages, energy drinks, excellent iced coffee - and you can get some quick groceries in a pinch: pasta & sauces, canned vegetables, rice, coffee, sugar, tuna, tons of candies - And also cat and dog food and supplies. They also have OTC meds like tylenol, advil, allergy, toothpaste, soap, some house cleaning supplies and most important: TOILET PAPER!! , And their prices are really fair. My husband likes Folger's Black Silk Coffee and the large container at Rite Aid is $13.49; at WPBD it's only $12.99! How's that for not price gouging! I've tried nearly every bakery item and I'm not exaggerating when I say they are all delicious - especially the carrot cake slices, the Lemon Chiffon Pie, and their own recipe: Cowboy Cookies (rice crispies, coconut & oatmeal). Nearly everything comes in a single-slice container so you can sample so much without having to buy the whole cake/pie. I had them make a few cakes for us this past year (birthday, anniversary) and the cakes are so light and tasty. I love their butter cream frosting and always ask for extra. If you're looking for a good lunch - the Cheese steak is great. TIP: If you are in a hurry, call your order in ahead of time so its ready when you get there. There is often a wait - with food this good you have to expect it. There is limited seating inside - I think there are about 3-4 tables with 3 chairs each. If we come with a group they have no problem with us pulling the tables together to suit our needs. As a matter of fact, they will do just about anything to suit your needs. My husband and I wanted to keep our wedding anniversary low-key and local this past March, so we asked the owner if he would cook us a special meal and let us eat there. He made us Chicken Parmesan, set a table up all nicely and made us a delicious cake. The pizza is really good, thin and crisip... the sauce is made from scratch - NO CANNED sauces - not in their catering either. If you are going for their catering you HAVE to get Chicken Francaise and baked ziti. Hands down - the best. Occasionally they have pulled pork as a special - It's amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and there is an atmosphere that makes you want to hang out for a bit. It has an amazing candy selections and the kids in town love to come get it. What's really great is that it's SO convenient to get to from Linden, Clark, Cranford or Roselle. It's right off Stiles St. Turn into town on Winfield Place, make an immediate right, and immediate left and you are there. Just drive around the parking lot and you'll see it. There's handicapped spaces and they will help anyone who needs assistance to their car. They'll even deliver locally. I can't say enough good things about it. I love having this kind of store right in my town - with such excellent food and great service. While I don't need most of the other things like the groceries, it's good to know they're there in a pinch. WPBD is clean and you will get good, fresh food! I encourage everyone to support local mom & businesses.
