They put the wrong SSN# on my amended tax return, despite me emailing them that information and it being on my W2 countless times. I physically corrected it- who knows if IRS will accept. It has been 3.5 months and still waiting. Had another accountant check my forms, and these guys left out my EIC, and I'm now stuck paying ~$1000 more than I actually had to. Would have went with other guy, but my parents have used these gents for years so I trusted them (and I only had a few days left to send in or file an extension- neither was doable in the timeline given.) Now I'm stuck paying IRS ~$1500 rather than ~$150. Still no stimulus either, even though I qualify. Disappointed all the way around. Sent them a written letter breaking down all of my complaints a few days ago, so I'm not just complaining on the internet. How, as a tax preparer, do you NOT DOUBLE CHECK THE INFO ON THE FORMS TO MAKE SURE IT'S CORRECT!? Now I pay for their mistake! The SSN# is literally the most important piece of information! Now, because I corrected on the legal form I had to send in, I may be pinged as fraudulent and this may cause me trouble for years to come!
