I’ve had a few piano lessons with my Soyulla Artists instructor Andrew and so far they are going very well. I am learning at a steady rate and am enjoying playing despite being a near total beginner. Andrew is very personable and his teaching style is a good combination of structured (learning important theory) and unstructured (learning by ear).

Soyulla made the process of getting started with piano lessons for our 7 year old smooth and stress free. Teresa at the initial encounter was helpful, answered many many questions, and followed up after each step. Our daughter’s piano teacher, Maria, was patient and gave full feedback with a lesson plan moving forward after the first lesson. This is why we will continue with Soyulla and hope to foster a great learning relationship for the years to come.

My son has been studying guitar with Erik at Soyulla for 18 months. Starting at 5 and a half, we wanted a teacher that would continue to foster his love of music FIRST, while also teaching him strong fundamentals and keeping him engaged. We could not be more pleased. In non-pandemic times Erik came to our house to increase our son’s comfort and limit his weekly “activity commute.†Later the strong relationship they built plus Soyulla’s quick pivot to the new reality of life allowed him to keep guitar as his one constant throughout lock down and a year where everything is eliminated or distant. Erik is a phenomenal guitarist but more than that, he meets our son where he is, challenges him in the right ways and best of all, has grown him into a budding guitarist while fostering his love of everything from the muppets to the white stripes, from Star Wars, to AC/DC. (I am not kidding. If my kid wants to learn to play it, Erik is on board and will send tabs for practice in a day or two.) Soyulla is fantastic. We are already thinking of how to get our 4.5yo son into vocal lessons with them in the fall.

Soyulla Artist is very good for helping students develop and learn their voice. Kate is very patient and knowledgeable in helping me develop my voice. You really do experience growth over time. As a novice in the vocal field, I'm learning and applying techniques to preserve my voice (Breathing, jaw shapping etc..). Lauren is very good and helpful in helping me develop my ear and sense of relative pitch. Its helpful to play an instrument to help develop your sense of pitch as well. Me learning to sing also helps tremendously with understanding pitch. The good thing is that both of these classes work in tandem. I know everyone has a different rate of growth, and it may feel as though it may take years and years to become what your favorite music artist is now, but don't compare yourself to them. Voice development takes time and everyone has a unique voice. Thanks Soyulla Artist.

My 8 years daughter is taking piano lessons at Soyulla and has increasingly progressed her skills. Staff are very professional, with good communication, and very responsive. A great music school to put your kids !
