image Not the same Light house in my other reviews. Its ok. I can take or leave it.

image I ordered the stuffed flounder and the crab stuffing was very tasty. The overall plate made no sense. The stuffed flounder was served with a side of shredded lettuce with a lemon slice, bruscetta and some julianned vegetables that had no seasoning. It didn't come with rice or potato or a pasta. It is a cute place but I probably wouldn't go back or recommend it.

image I ate here last night on 11/7.
Have been driving past this place for past 2 years and was always curious.
Real a lot of reviews on it, so we gave it a shot.
Not much I would change but the waitress nor the chef knew where the oysters came from.
Typically a place like this, with a raw bar, would have a sign indicated where 'today's oysters' are from.
Even if they are Wellfleets, which I think they were, put it up there. Clams are clams but oysters differ.
We had the steamed clams in garlic broth...it was good and the toasted garlic bread on the side was tough to pass up.
We also had the dozen raw oysters and they were fresh and good but could have been colder.
I left them on the ice in the plate and they improved.
My wife had the swordfish, medium rare and it was cooked just right.
Large piece which she could not finish.
I had the mixed seafood w/pasta and it was overflowing with seafood, plus half a lobster tail. Very nice and tasty, and i used even more bread on that.
The pumpkin creme broulee was perfect!
BYOB too and I would recommend and return.

image We walked in and no one was there - literally no other customers - and the hostess confronted us as though we'd stormed in with a brass band, demanding to know when our reservation was for. Again, place was completely empty... Our reply, that we didn't have a reservation, was met with a look of disgusted frustration. After some hemming and hawing, we were finally shown to a table in the farthest corner, by the kitchen doors. Both the table and one of the chairs was wobbly. Although there was no one in the place, and the waitresses were all standing right by our table talking loudly, no one took our order for a good ten minutes. When we finally placed our order, it took a good forty-five minutes for the food to come out. I know it's not a fast food place, but that's kind of a long time. But we'd heard great things, so we figured extra prep time meant extra good food. If only... Both my wife and I were quite underwhelmed with our meals. If you are a seafood place, seems like the fish should be pretty good, but we both felt our meals were mediocre at best. As we were leaving the parking lot, a gigantic boat of an old car came slewing into the parking lot, nearly taking us out. Four grayhairs piled out and wobbled inside. And suddenly the good reviews made a little more sense - if you can't see and your taste buds are going, I bet The Lighthouse is a great place to dine.
