This place has gone down hill big time. The service was always hit or miss depending on who you got as a server. The food used to be very good. It has gone down hill since they changed chefs. The portions got smaller (ok, saving money not a big deal), the food takes at least an hour to come out, it is bland, and usually half the order is cold. In the past if a friend came to my house and want to go out to eat somewhere local, I would recommend Castaways. Now I would be embarrassed to send a friend there. $1 beer Wednesdays had us coming back for awhile, but this last week they served us a full round of flat beer, I mean completely flat. You think that the bartender would say "hey, there is something wrong I am not going to serve this to my regular customers". No. They took the round away without charging us (as I would expect). I am tired of giving money to this place. They obviously do not care about the patrons. I am hoping somewhere there reads this and goes back to the way it used to be, because I did enjoy this place; for now it looks like I will be staying in on my Wednesday nights. UPDATE: I just found out, the night of the trip to Castaways that motivated me to write this review, one of the people I was with got food poisoning.
