Camp Haluwasa

I am 35 yrs old and Im writing this review as an adult. I went to this camp as a young child and have so many awesome memories!! The environment, the activities & the staff was awesome and Im sure it still is now. I swam in a the lake for the first time , got in a canoe for the first time . So many wonderful memories I will never forget. Not to mention the songs we used to sing at night , I still remember them til this day! This was by far my best place to visit as a child and Im looking forward to bringing my son so he can share the same experiences as me!!

I went here as a camper in the early 2000s and I had an amazing time. I always wanted to be a camp counselor but never ended up doing it. I sent my son when he was of age and he loved it just as much as I did. Now he's applying to be a camp counselor this summer. I met a lot of friends here and we still kept in touch after camp. Camp haluwasa is def one of my fondest memories. However, I remember the food not being great and being sleep deprived. My son said he loved the food but he'll eat anything. Also your children will get hot and dirty but it's camp, there's nothing luxurious about it.

Parents Please Read This! SEND YOUR KID HERE!!! When I picked him up my heart was filled with so much joy. My son raved about his experience. Walking up to watch the final performance, and the kids singing gospel songs is worth everything and more. Camp Haluwasa does an exceptional job at teaching the kids about the Lord and on how to be good and god fearing. My son came home wanting to be a Christian and wanting to learn so much about god, and even wanting to be baptized. I am forever grateful for this experience. My son also said they have air conditioned cabins. He also said that the cabins were "very clean" and the "beds are comfortable". I will definitely be sending him again next year. 5/5 stars from us, god bless you all -the Carter family. Update: I sent my son to the 2023 weekend fall retreat in October, another 5 star review! He stayed for the entire weekend and I enjoyed every single minute knowing he was safe at Haluwasa. I also love all the photos the camp posted online. Thank you :)
