Extremely rude, unprofessional, entitled and undeserving services and people at the Hackensack location. Of all customer service nightmare characters there are, Kelly (manager) is by far the nastiest, most smug poor excuse for a person I have come across. I canceled my membership and had over $200 in credit. I was told before services started that I would not need to pay anything put of pocket as a result of my account balance. Of course, once the services ended I was slapped with a $40 fee and told if I didn't pay it would be theft. What a poor excuse for a business run by an even poorer, more pathetic excuse for a person. Kelly is not the kind of person you want in your business.

I received facials with Jennifer and really loved how professional, informative, and detailed she was with my needs. I also thought the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Overall, Hand & Stone has a pretty good system in place. They have a variety of locations to choose from...we went to their Hackensack location over the weekend and the staff there were very polite and professional. The front desk employees were great, especially since they promptly contacted us when we left an additional gift card behind. The masseuses were noticeably well experienced. I would give this establishment 5 stars had it not been for the two following concerns. 1. There was construction going on above us in the building and you can almost feel the vibrating from the jackhammers since they were so loud. The staff was apologetic, but something should have been done to avoid and mitigate this issue. When we asked for ear plugs they had none available. 2. They'll call you in advance and let you know that you should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a form. We arrived 5 minutes after our designated appointment time. We did a one hour couples massage and even though we were able to complete the form and change within 10 minutes, somehow the massage was only 35 minutes. (I believe they said the actual massage time is 50 minutes with the ten minutes given for changing.)
