I recently had a very unpleasant encounter with the receptionist at Park Medical Group that left me quite dissatisfied with the overall service. While the medical care provided by Dr. Gerald Lee was great as always, the receptionist's behavior significantly impacted my experience. The day before my scheduled appointment, I received a call from the receptionist informing me of a time change. The next morning, I arrived at the clinic and provided the revised appointment time (8:30AM). However, the receptionist displayed a dismissive attitude and rudely scolded me for not giving the original time. She insisted that I should have provided the initial appointment time, making the interaction unnecessarily frustrating. Additionally, during my visit, I couldn't help but notice that the receptionist seemed to be having some issues with another patient regarding his blood work order. This further emphasized the need for improved communication and efficiency at the front desk. In my opinion, it is the responsibility of the receptionist to ensure that schedule changes are accurately reflected in the system. Instead of addressing the issue internally or to the IT dept., I was scolded and told to provide the original time, causing unnecessary stress before meeting with my doctor. It appears that the receptionist may be facing challenges with handling various tasks, and additional training or a more effective communication strategy could be beneficial. I believe that customer service, especially in a healthcare setting, is crucial for a positive patient experience. The receptionist's lack of empathy, professionalism, and the scolding I received, combined with observations of issues with another patient, had a notable impact on my overall satisfaction with the visit. While the medical care itself was satisfactory, I hope that Park Medical Group takes this feedback seriously and addresses the need for improved customer service training. Patients should feel valued and supported from the moment they enter the clinic, and unfortunately, my recent experience fell short of those expectations.

I have been going there for years. I have only seen Jennifer Valdez, APN, and she is amazing. Very attentive, takes the time to listen. I never feel rush. I am also very afraid of needle and the nurses doing the bloodwork are amazing, patient and very caring. I have seen bad reviews about the reception, I personally make my appointment online and do follow up communication through MyChart. Jennifer was very responsive to my latest question, within a few hours I had an answer.

I was a little scared to go for my annual after reading so many bad reviews. Well, I just came back from my appt and I had to come here to do this practice some justice. Staff was VERY polite, my appoint was on time and the doctor (Dr S. Kwon) was a GEM. Im glad I switched practices!

The most unresponsive medical practice. If you can get an appointment and you are there in person, it's not bad but forget trying to get something done over the phone. On more than1 occasion, I have needed assistance over the phone and both times I called multiple times to check. Today, I needed a script sent to pharmacy. Called their call center multiple times. No response from the fort lee office. Still waiting. I am out of state and need a script sent to a Walgreens here. It shouldn't be this hard to access your doctor's office. Last time it was for blood work results. They got back to me over 2 weeks later. What horrible medical service. I'm not needing medical often so I let the previous slide. Maybe it was just a bad day but now I'm gonna look for a different practice as my primary.
