Excellent food...it's an experience, you feel like your part of the family stopping in for dinner. It's a hidden diamond in the rough....we will definitely be back.

Food is outstanding. Family run and it shows. Wide variety. Meals are prepared to order and therefore you must be prepared for the wait, but the result is worth the wait. Relax and enjoy your table mates.

The restaurant is located in a historic house, and has a bit of a 'moldy basement' smell to it. The food is decent, but their specials (which were extremely hyped by the owner, Elena) are very overpriced and portion sizes are rather small. The service was slow, spotty, and unhygienic in handling food and glassware. Menus were only given to us after we requested them, which seems to be part of their sales strategy of pushing their expensive specials. An appetizer with a 'blend of fresh wild mushrooms including porcini and chanterelles' ended up being crimini mushrooms only. All 6 different specials we ordered came with the same small portions of unimpressive green beans and steamed potatoes. We had to constantly remind the owner about things we requested. The wine glasses and cheap flatware were smudgy and covered with water stains, one glass had lipstick on it. The waiter grabbed the wine glasses by sticking his fingers into them. The owner had rather dirty fingernails, and served the butter with her palm touching it. She also took a food item from one plate and broke it apart with her bare hands to demonstrate that it can be used as a scoop. All in all, a somewhat bizarre experience.
