Called multiple places to make a first time appointment bc I've been having pain in my mouth, a bad smell and taste, and know a tooth is broken. They told me the first appointment I could get was JANUARY! Thats 5 months to wait with an infected, rotting, broken tooth. Thats ridiculous!

I was treated by Dr. Carr (spelling may be incorrect) and the team for what was allegedly a necessary crown to replace a previously given root canal. I informed the physician that I felt no pain but was convinced into complying and having said crown installed. During the initial procedure, Dr. Carr repeatedly jerked my neck, spoke in an annoyed and pedantic tone, but, ultimately, the temporary crown fit and was painless as it covered what was now merely a blackened stub of a tooth. I had (what I would later discover was) a profoundly unhelpful front desk scheduler named Tameeka schedule my permanent crown replacement for two weeks from that Monday. She even wrote it on a helpful little card for me, and when I called the office the Friday before to confirm and left word, my call was not returned. The true complications arose when, the Saturday before this permanent replacement, my temporary crown fell out. I tried no to panic since the replacement would be performed on Monday morning. To my shock, Tameeka told me on Monday that no such appointment was made (I still have the appointment card for that date), and that I would have to come in on Wednesday despite experiencing significant pain since the loss of this crown. I then called again Tuesday when the pain grew hot, but ultimately was forced to have the procedure done Wednesday. During the finalizing procedure, no sanitizing of the tooth or cleaning was done despite it being a dark nub that had been exposed for five days. Instead, the remaining tooth was further drilled, given no light treatment, and the permanent crown was hastily applied. I now feel more pain at the gumline than I did before I had my filling removed (which was none) or when I had a temporary crown (which was also minimal.) This is the second time I had horrible, dangerous dental work performed at this facility. I repeated this mistake for the sake of geographical convenience, but I STRONGLY urge you to stay away from this debacle of a dentistry.

I have been to multiple dentists since moving to the area, but it wasn't till going to Hunterdon Family Dental that I found the right fit. Clean, friendly and professional, I would, and have, recommended them to others looking for full service dentistry.
