Saffron Indian Cuisine

Manager was rude when I asked him a question and he even ordered me to leave the restaurant. I go there for lunch very frequently but today I was treated very badly. I will never recommend this place and will make sure none of my friends and family eat there.

Went twice for the lunch buffet recently. The food for the buffet is on par with the best Indian restaurants I perused in Tokyo (which I consider the Raj Palace (Shubya) and Gungroo(Omotesando) ). Only thing to be careful is to not eat too much because the food is so good. Still there is no harm in too much curry! I am not a Nan-fan so I am glad they only bring out a little Nan.... just the right amount per person too. You don't have to struggle through a giant Nan here, just a nice slice! The salad, dressing, mint sauce, curries and desert selection are all made to perfection. There is no dish to complain about and they served different dishes both times I went. Actually the deserts exceeded in quality any Indian restaurant I have been to so it gets 5 stars from me. The staff were helpful and attentive both times contrary to many of the other reviews. They removed plates, pointed out forgotten umbrellas and were all in all very friendly. The decor is also appropriate for the restaurant and ambiance is very nice. I am not a fan of spicy foods, and they have lowered the spiciness level of most of the dishes to not be too spicy (aka British/American levels) which is just perfect for me.

I would not buy any take outs from saffron anymore. I once bought a big box of rasmalai to take to a party and I was sooooo embarassed when the hosts told me that the dish was stringy and smelled sour !!! Be careful of the food you order, it could have been made days ago !!

Have ordered food from Saffron twice so far and have not been disappointed. Their Masala Curry is delicious, goes perfectly with their Saffron Rice and Garlic Naan. They are a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. Also note that you can order through their website.
