They lied and tried to take advantage of me while creating dangerous health conditions for everyone living in my home. Here's the full details. I called my warranty company because my air conditioning was not working and they assigned the service request to 1st goal heating and cooling. After assessing the problem, 1st goal heating and cooling informed the warranty company that the complete system needed to be replaced. I wanted to challenge the assessment, but warranty companies make you pay a 2nd service request fee if you don't agree with the first assessment. When going through a warranty company this is the exact leverage that companies like 1st goal heating and cooling use to force people into not questioning why their actual system need to be replaced. After hearing the assessment I went into my attic and looked at the air conditioning unit myself and was quick to realize that 1st goal heating and cooling completely disconnected my return duct. In this disconnected state my air conditioner was working even worse than before. The disconnected return was also extremely dangerous because it causes the air conditioning unit to recirculate filthy dusty air from my attic towards the inside of my house. It was evident at this time that 1st goal heating and cooling could not be trusted to do further work in my home. I received the 2nd opinion from another contractor and was informed that the issue was just a dirty coil. In the end I was able to fix the problem at a fraction of the cost by using another contractor. I'm doing my best to collect as much evidence as possible against 1st goal heating and cooling for escalation to the better business bureau. Please reach out to me if you suspect that 1st goal heating and cooling treated you unfairly.
