Went in for an interview. It went well, but it was still very sketchy. I was never really sure what they did besides market at Home Depot (still not really knowing how). At the second interview it very much felt like a scheme meeting. I was given the whole “if you work hard enough you might be given your own office and $120,000 a year” schtick. A whole bunch of building a team with people below you talk. The company comes off as being a multi-level marketing firm. The employee who comments on this review may say, “There are different types of marketing, etc...” or spin it to make it seem that I’m mad I didn’t get the job—I would not have accepted the offer regardless.

Dear readers, I had the “privilege” of working at peak concepts briefly last spring. Let me break this company down for you guys. It’s simple, you will be greeted by a very nice young lady, she will then take you into the back office, you will interview with the manager and if they sense any sort of disparity they will call you back for a second interview (within the hour or on the spot). You will then meet with your “Team Leader” (the day following at dunkin donuts).. and since they’re buying and obviously you want a job, you go. You’ll then be told “IN ONE YEAR YOU’LL BE MAKING $120,000”. This is literally what they tell you. Now, who in their right mind would say no to that? Probably clearly somebody far smarter than I am! Anyway, I bit. Funny thing is they try to get you hooked onto their manipulative theories about life, not work.. life. *Side note*-You will have no time for yourself. You work a 6 day week work week and they will send you to every Home Depot in their “region” mahwah, riverdale, hackensack, paramus, east hanover etc. (i.e.) nowhere near your home. They DO NOT reimburse you for gas. So here’s your day... First day at work. You show up at the office in your suit (ladies in their business attire). You practice your script with the other team members for 30 minutes (all very nice). After this you will enter a room with a big white board where you will discuss ideals and outlooks on how to live your life. After those discussions you’ll be hyped. Then right before you leave they tell you that you have to wear a name tag on a black t-shirt with a pair of slacks, no suit allowed in the store. You go to the store, still hyped, little down because you’re not wearing your favorite suit but it’s the first day of work, whatever. The first few days are the best. They make you feel SO comfortable almost like they’re the family that you’ve never had and always wanted. Inevitably you’ll find that nobody wants to get their kitchen cabinets refaced, roofs redone, homes resided, etc. The few nice people that agree to it walk back with you to the computers and sign up because they’re being nice they never actually go through with it. You get paid by consultation. You’ll think you’ve made $300 in one day but in reality you just wasted $20 on gas. I lost more money than I made. Also, when I tried to call Peak/ email (Ryan-the manager) for my tax transcripts I dialed a phone number that was out of service and an email that was “undeliverable”. I’m not too sure what this company is and by labeling it as something isn’t fair to you guys. My advice is STAY AWAY. Also, for the love of god can someone from the BBB investigate this organization. Also my apologies for any animosity but the worst thing you can do to someone is waste their time and even worse than that, deceive them. That’s unforgivable. Thank you, Nick
