My husband and I were in the Denville area visiting relatives and on our way out of town we saw Pete's Deli (a.k.a. Diamond Spring Deli). What a find! We ordered a roast beef dip and it was wonderful! The sandwich came piping hot through and through on a hot, slightly crisped bun. The thin edges of beef hanging over the bun were crispy like they'd been finished on a grill. The stacked layers of roast beef inside were perfectly medium rare, tasty, quality beef. The au jus was AWESOME. When I asked the proprietor (He's a hunk and extremely nice) what was in it, he didn't want to divulge the recipe, just said it was made on premises. The iced tea, too, is homemade and delicious, with an oolong savor. We'll be back, even if it is a three hour drive!
