Cliffside Park Municipal Court

This court is a revenue generating machine, handing out tickets like candy. Absolutely ridiculous. They have absolutely no concern for citizens going thru a tough time who’s insurances will be affected by predatory tickets and fines. Horrible

I have been waiting for my case and they still acting like is new to them I’m stressed out with this people every time I call is the same history with them also the cops are dirty cops the supposedly stop me for speeding and gave me 8 tickets and non was for speeding my god some do something

This Court house is like something out of the "Twilight Zone". You never ever what to pass through this town and meet these Cops. All I did was go around a car that got stopped at a corner, So I drove around the car and I got the violation.

A case that was delayed due to covid. Was never given information about when I was suppose to be in or a zoom meeting had to call numerous times to find any sort of information. Finally for the zoom meeting to kick me out of the court meeting and repeatedly kept trying to get back in to not get my side of what was suppose to be updates. Now, my trying to get as my ex husband who abuses me is off free.

My advice to anyone is do not drive through Cliffside Park! I live in a neighboring town and I have taken long routes to avoid driving through. The town is running a racket from the dirty cops who make up non existent reasons to stop you and give you a violation to the shady judge and court personnel who treat everyone disrespectfully unless they have a lawyer present . I was behind a bus that was moving through a yellow light , I knew that I would not make it through so I stopped right as it was turning red . The cop waited until the light turned green again and pulled me over for slowing down traffic ! I kid you not, I got penalized for stopping at a red light ! I call that safe driving ( especially in front a of a school) Cut to the Municipal court house where you are penalized for fighting a bogus unfair ticket by having to sit through 4 hours of every criminal court case being tried in that town. 3 other people and I were called last at 9:45pm all with bogus violations!!! So I am not a criminal but I have to sit through every criminal case for almost 4 hours ???? They obviously do so to torture you so the next time you get a bogus ticket , you remember the last experience and don't fight it !!!
