The technician was here within an hour after my call and fixed the problem immediately.We have used Good Tidings for many years. They were a wonderful support when we had a broken pipe and even came Thanksgiving Eve to replace our heater , a tremendous relief, having a houseful of overnight guests and hosting Thanksgiving dinner for many family members. They are beyond dependable and wonderful. Thank you for your endless kindness to us.

My furnace went out last night. I call Good Tidings at 6:30AM today, and a lovely woman answered the phone! No voicemail, a real person. That's fantastic. She gathered my contact info and description of the problem and said a technician would be in touch soon. Within an hour I got a call, answered questions about what was going on and by 8:30AM Jay & John were here. They were polite and friendly, assessed the trouble, gave me my options, along with their suggestions. They completed the job as promised. A great experience all around and I would certainly have them do future work!

Had my water heater replaced by Good Tidings this past Friday afternoon. So when I would be wanting to go home, Steve shows up to assess the situation, give me a quote and do the job. In a polite and timely fashion he gets half way through the job when he gets called to a next job, as they said could happen. Chris showed up and helped with the very heavy lifting and seamlessly took over the job and finished. Nick came to the house today, 2 days later, to do the furnace service I requested. Was in and out quickly and neatly. All three technicians were professional, polite, knowledgable and efficient. They all asked for and answered all questions I had regarding the jobs or anything else related to the kind of service they were providing. The last time I used Good Tidings it was for the replacement of my furnace and I, 12 years later, still stand in front of it and wonder at the pure art of how it was plumbed. Should I need to, I won't hesitate to call them again. Thanks Guys, really appreciate the job well done.

EDIT 2/14 - Since Dave is trying to portray me as some kind of review bomber, please note the following: - I gave CFA a 3 star, not a 1 star, you were so mad that I reviewed your overpriced business a low rating that you couldn't even see straight. To call Chick Fil A a fine Christian Organization is insane, they are a corporate franchised fast food restaurant. They don't serve gospel with your chicken. - All of my reviews are based on facts, just because you don't like the rating doesn't change those facts. - The local barber had previously been trespassed from our apartment complex for doing this multiple times. - I also leave a fair amount of good reviews, for businesses that deserve it. Maybe up your quality of service and make your prices more competitive, which is a constant complaint here and on Yelp, and maybe you'll start getting more 5 stars. - If you have 10's of thousands of customers, why have you spent a few hours out of your week to deal with one who was unhappy? Be better, Dave. EDIT 2/12 part 2! - Filed a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. I suggest everyone else who has an experience like this to do the same. Commercial bribery is illegal in the state of NJ, and with the difference between Google and Yelp reviews for this company, it's fairly obvious they're doing this quite frequently. EDIT 2/12 - Dave called and offered my service call fee back and to take my gift card, but only if I changed my review from a one star to something higher. When I expressed that I dont take bribes, the offers for refunding and using the gift card vanished into thin air. He was very upset that I didn't see the value in their overpriced service, and constantly compared themselves to others who charge more, and also compared themselves to Mercedes and their competitors to Hyundai and Kia. Surprise, they are the most expensive and one of the few to charge a service fee, while not providing anything special. He also claimed that it was his employee that was new, that was the issue. Meanwhile, the entire time, the employee was reaching back out to the service manager to see if they could take the gift card and they said no. Its not a single employee who needs training, its a systemic problem in this company. He continued to insult me and say that I only leave negative reviews to "gouge out eyes". These guys are the first to ever contact me based on one of my reviews. Maybe don't be a sleazy company. After a 15 minute conversation, Dave hung up on me. If I ever get desperate for $50, then maybe I'll change the review. But to bribe a customer to change a review and then tell them that in order to make it right you need to adjust your review is crazy, and really shows you who these guys are. It was an amazing $50 lesson. One day I'll post the recording of the call so that everyone can hear how they talk to customers who didn't like their service. (thanks one party consent laws!) ------------ I would like to give more than 1 star, but after getting a quote for $415 to replace a single gasket on the toilet I couldn't justify it when I could literally buy an entirely new replica toilet for $250. When I said that I would just buy a new toilet, and asked for the cost of new toilet install, these guys refuse to give quotes on any work they need to do, even though they supposedly work on a flat fee system. They were quick to offer me VIP pricing (extra $90!) and to rebuild the entire tank, which would have probably cost closer to $1,000, or 4 new toilets. Lots of upsells, but no actual value was being provided at all. We were recommended these guys through family, and now they are going to be dropping them as a service provider as well. We had a $25 friends and family card that we tried to use that they also wouldn't take as well - even though it didn't say that it had restrictions, as soon as we went to use it we got denied. This is one of the most heavily populated states in the country, there are a ton of plumbers around. Save your money and sanity and find another.
