I was a patient for about 10 years and thought he was good. He was always skittish about discussing the cost of anything and if I questioned the safety of fluoride he immediately fought back with the ADA saying it was safe. He also pushes for full x-rays every appointment, again using the ADA as his shield. He does not have a hygienist - more $$ in his pocket. I thought it was best having the dentist do the cleaning, but two dentists since have said: "no way, dentists never clean like a hygienist."I had amalgams removed elsewhere that he put in and found out how aggressive he was at cutting away healthy teeth. I wish I never let him pick up a drill. Bernie is stuck in the old days where he gets you on a path from a little filling to inevitably every procedure on every tooth until you do 32 root canals and have a full mouth of bridges and crowns. Never ever anything about ways to preserve teeth and alternatives to big procedures except brushing and flossing. Also - it was always weird how hard they pushed a candy bar at me after each appointment.
