Absolutely beautiful home and professional staff. The home is clean and decorated as a home, not an institution. The care that was given to my Uncle at the home was superb not only from a medical point of view but also a warm and caring point of view.

My experiences with the Flemming family and Garden Terrace Nursing home are twofold. First the professional: I have been providing entertainment to the residents at Garden Terrace and the sister facility, Victorian Garden Adult Daycare for over 25 years. I see first hand the attentiveness and care with which residents and their families are treated. I perform in facilities throughout New Jersey, and the personalized care and attention at Garden Terrace is as good or better than in any of the facilities I visit. One good indicator of the level of quality is longevity of the terms of employment. In an industry known for high turnover, Garden Terrace has many staff members who were working there when I first visited the facility. On a more personal note, a few years ago a friend of my family's, in my parent's generation, went to Garden Terrace for end of life care. I saw him a couple of times when I went to entertain the residents, and saw the gentle, loving way in which he was cared for. After his passing I received a note from his daughter praising the care he had received and thanking me for having helped to make his time there better. I will close this review with one observation: Garden Terrace really does have an atmosphere that is much more like a family home than an institution.

Garden Terrace is the most amazing nursing home filled with people who truly care for both the residents and their families. My mother was a resident there for nearly 5 years and I can honestly say I have not a single complaint. For loved ones suffering from Alzheimers disease, I cannot recommend more strongly. It was a relief to find for my mom and a true honor to know the owners and staff.
