        The Salad Factory has been an institution in Carteret, New Jersey for over thirty-five years. I just have found out that today is their last day. I have mainly gone there for breakfast, where I pretty much always got a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll with salt, pepper and ketchup (the unofficial  breakfast of choice of the people of New Jersey). I used to go here a lot when I worked in Carteret. Service was always friendly and the food was always good.It is a shame that Carteret is losing this long-standing business, that tomorrow their grill won't be kicking out those wonderful Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches, as well as everything else they made.I get that change is a part of life and I am happy that I got to have this place in my memories. I wish Paul and the crew there the best with their futures and thank them all for being a positive addition to their community.
