The beginning steps of the summer rental with this agency was nice and easy. My reasoning for the low rating is for two reasons for a summer rental (week).
1. Not being able to check into a home until after 4pm on a Saturday, when youre spending a lot of money for a week rental and having to check out before 10am is very rigid and basically gives you two less days to stay in the home. I would have appreciated knowing that up front before renting knowing we spent close to $7K for a week and used the home fully only from Mon-Friday.
2. We lost some of our security deposit without any notice. When I tried to call and get better details, I was yelled at by one of the agents because I was upset, even when I tried to explain that I disagreed with some of the reasonings of not receiving a full deposit back. This included not turning the dishwasher on (although loaded), accusations of smoking in the home which were completely false, and laundry issues. It seems as if even this realtor agency is at the mercy of the owners of the homes, which is very unfortunate because then the owners can truly take money from the deposit without any real proof. It would have been appreciated if we could have at least heard about these issues in real time to have a chance to dispute anything. Definitely be careful about this when using the rental services.
