Great place. It's in an unlikely part of Bloomfield which is actually one of the things that makes it really cool. Knowledgeable staff. Super casual vibe; the servers and bartenders are chill. The food is simple but still, refined, and always good, every time I've been there. All the pastas are good, and the appetizers are interesting. Small cozy bar. Go.

Even though this is a small establishment in Bloomfield, NJ this place is a force to be reckoned with in the State of New Jersey. I felt like I was in Manhattan when I walked inside to just meet a friend. I smelled the aroma in the kitchen and a patron at the bar said "How can you come here and not eat". I said "Really?, What do you recommend?" the patron said "Prime Rib". This was the most costly Prime Rib I ever had but wow!!! Honestly, it was so well worth it. You must come and have it for yourself to know for sure. The taste and the caliber of this dish was really out of this world for me and I love good food. The caramelized onions and mushrooms on the side with their home made dipping sauce was outrageous. I barely write reviews about food but the Prime Rib at Orange Squirrel is a must try believe me. All you folks in the Cedar Grove, Verona, Montclair and Essex Fells locations please take a day or night to experience what I have. Trust me it will be a meal you'll remember. Thank you for the good service and hospitality as well go to the Orange Squirrel for a Prime Rib and reply to this post ASAP!
