wanted to end Labor day on a high note, did not.... went to eat early (5PM) ordered seafood risoto and the Sunday special. seafood risoto with half a lobster for $40, lobster was undercooked, geletin like 2 scallops, lots of calamari rice was blah. told waitress about the lobster, gave her the claw which she took back to the kitchen. she came back and said the Chef agreed it was undercooked and offered us free desert, we told her we arent big desert people, she said OK and brought us the check, full amount. Not going to eat there again, other places close by that we need to try.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing....is the only way to describe the food! The ambient atmosphere makes your visit that of more than just a typical fine dining experience. You feel right at home here. The staff is fantastic. I strongly recommend trying it out if you've never been here. The owners, Christina and Jose Garcia, welcome you as it was their very own home!

My recent experience was BEFORE we ate at Tulipano's at their current location. Several years ago, we ate at Tulipano's at their previous location and liked it very much. My husband purchased me a $50.00 gift certificate in 2011. Yes, it's 2014 and we realized we never used the gift certificate. On the gift certificate under their Expiration Date it was blank. I called the restaurant to make sure there was no problem to use the $50.00 gift certificate. Well, apparently their IS a problem. They only honor their gift certificates for one year. No where on the gift certificate does it say that. Most gift certificates DO NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE....AT LEAST AT THE BETTER ESTABLISHMENTS. The management tells us on the phone they will give us $20.00....$20.00 for a $50.00 purchase. WHAT????? Anyway, buyer beware of this restaurant when buying gift certificates. They apparently have their own agenda when the consumer tries to cash in on their purchased gift.

Fantastic food, good people and great service, couldn't ask for more! Wait for the list of specials before deciding, it's at least as long as the menu is ;-)
