Donovan is AWESOME. I have made mental strides that were not accessible or possible with his help. I use the stuff he taught me every day still. 5 stars for Donovan.

The people here are the kindest most generous people I've ever met in a rehabilitation facility. It is because of the kindness & superb Medical Care of the staff that I am sober today. They gave me a great Foundation to begin my new life. I am so thankful to them. They gave me my life back. 7 months sober today

Worst in-patient facility I have ever been to. Lack of well-trained and educated staff, lack of engagement and daily activities, poorly handled aftercare management and resources, and unsanitary. Seek other options

I genuinely wish there was an option to give negative stars because this place would have 1000. The staff and treatment team here does nothing except explicitly lie to your face and threaten you. As someone who has actively been to both inpatient here at carrier and outpatient PHP and IOP, i can assure you outpatient had actual THERAPY. Being hospitalized i thought they would teach us stress and anxiety management, and process but all we did was play volleyball and draw. I felt like i had no progress here and the only thing that helped was the meds they gave us 3 hours late every day. I felt like i was going insane from the brick walls to the time and date that was always wrong, not even knowing what day it was. I would hear girls crying and having mental breakdowns at night and staff would do nothing but threaten to put them in the quiet room which is basically a room they put you in with a bed and bench with an observation glass after being sedated if your being aggressive or crying too much. Most of the techs were tone deaf and didnt give a flying crap about the patients while some of them truly did care and try to help us. Also, they would constantly give room time which is basically time out where you cant leave your room even for meals and youre isolated which defeats the purpose of getting better and healing. The treatment team also lied about having a transparent conversation and discharge date, everyone tells you they dont know and to just be patient. I wish carrier would change their ways and have better care and resources for the adolescent unit because it still feels like its a mental asylum. I could write a lot more but my advice would be to find a better hospital. Also there was blood on the corner of the wall in the closet and staff said it was just ketchup and to not touch it.

I taught special education for 2 years at Carrier Clinics East Mountain School. Their compensation package was good and the benefits are excellent as long as you visit their doctors. The problem is that HMH does not have an established healthcare network near those Raritan-Delaware Valley towns like Hillsborough, Bridgewater, Flemington, etc...where most Carrier employees live. The nearest facility is JFK in Edison. Everything else requires a trip to Monmouth or Ocean County. It was a great place to teach and most people I met were friendly. Administration treated me well and I felt the students were no worse that public school, and in many ways better. I had a few issues with HR during the onboarding and off-boarding processes. It would have been a 5 star experience otherwise.
