I hired this pro to install Christmas lights. $300 for install and removal. When he installed I asked for them to be removed right after Christmas no later than the first week of Jan. New Years. He stated as long as there wasn't snow on the ground he would come by and remove them. I sent messages on thumbtack on Jan 4, 5, 6 asking if he could come by and remove. On Jan 6 I left a 1 star review and 2 minutes later he messaged me "Did you just give me a 1 star review on thumbtack? I literally just landed in Logan from Aruba. I was on vacation. So you were happy with the light I installed but couldn't wait for me to take them down when I said it would be in January so you gave me a 1 star review"
My reply "I have no idea that you were on vacation. I've been trying to get ahold of you and no answer. Yes, I said the first week in January and you said if there wasn't snow on the ground. Happy to change it once the lights are removed"
I have since sent him messages asking him to come to remove them. NO ANSWER. Yet I got him hired at my neighbor's house and he DID come to remove theirs! I asked him on Jan 13 if he was coming to remove them or if he could issue a refund.
So I asked for a refund on the removal, but clearly unprofessional.
I would not hire this pro in fear that only half your project will. be complete.
