The rooms smell like mildew. Had to ask for a change of rooms because we could not breathe in the room because of the poor air quality. Staff tried to say they never smelled anything before, which was almost as off-putting as the stench. Wish I could give less than one star. The new room was only slightly better than the first.

In dire need of a major overhaul! This hotel is pet friendly and everyone knows after 40 years of stained carpets they definitely stink! Housekeeping staff lacked and service was lackluster at best. On the plus side beds and linens were clean and comfortable and outside pool area was kept up very nice. Would definitely not recommend!

One of the worst I have ever visited. Traveled with family and occupied 7 rooms. Made the reservations EIGHT months prior. We called the morning prior to check in to verify the specifics of our requests (adjoining rooms b/c of small children & bed configurations (2 dbls vs 1 kng), rooms on the same floor in close proximity). We were assured that all of the information was confirmed. Upon arrival in the evening, not a single thing was correct. We were told by the front desk clerk that the hotel was sold out and basically, we were lucky to get what we got. When we asked for cots for the people who now had no place to sleep (4 ppl in a King room instead of 2 dbl bed room), he said that he would see what he could do. He clearly did not give a damn that the rooms were not what the reservations stated. The website stated that kids 12 and under eat free for b'fast, lunch, and dinner. We arrived at the breakfast buffet to find that the servers had no idea that the kids were to eat free. We were told to take the issue up with the front desk. Only then, were we given vouchers for the children in our party. (We were clear on our initial reservation regarding the ages of the children in each room.) The 2nd (and thankfully, last) night we were staying, out toilet got clogged around 9pm. I called down to the front desk to ask for a plunger and was told that there was no one on staff who could help me. I pressed and informed him that there was going to be a big mess very shortly without a plunger and was informed that we could change rooms if we wished. By that time, I had three children sleeping so changing rooms was not an option. I left my room and went to the front desk where I was greeted by the same clerk from the first night. He told me that he was the only employee in the entire hotel and that he could not leave the front desk. He said that the plungers were in the 3rd floor maintenance room. I asked if I could go get one myself and he refused. At that time, I requested that he call a manager because something clearly needed to be done. He went into the back room and came back a few minutes later and said, “Ok, I have permission to leave the front desk so I guess if anything gets stolen, it is not my problem.” He walked off and returned 10 minutes later with a plunger. When he came back to the lobby, I reached out to take the plunger from him but he refused to give it to me. Instead, he marched to my room (with me 5 paces behind him) and BARGED into my room. No knock, no nothing. My husband was standing there in his underwear and my children were sleeping! He went into the bathroom, plunged the toilet and left without speaking. I have no words… I just wish I got his name because I would have reported him. The rooms themselves were old and crudy. Most of them smelled like mildew. The bathroom (tub and toilet) was so small that you had to actually stand in the tub in order to close the door. We discovered in the morning that despite plugging in electronics to charge, most of the wall outlets did not work. If you have a choice, go elsewhere!

Very disappointing visit. Overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes, in room and on bath towels! UGH! Room clean but NO TV remove in room and NO coffee cups in room! One maintenance man told us they are "understaffed" - and it certainly showed!
