image Super nice physician. He took his time with my two, very elderly parents. Highly recommend their medical staff. The check-in and out is pretty efficient as well consthe medical billing and coding taking place.

image My actual Doctor is great. Family Tree Health Care? Not so much. My last appointment I was told I'd get a referral. I've called every week for five weeks now and still no referral. New excuses every week though, so they never run out of those.

image I really don't want to switch PCP's but the new phone system is AWFUL! It's seems illogical to me that you would have people picking up the phone who aren't in the office. Feels like I'm calling a large corporation or my insurance company... which is not a compliment.

image Very grateful to have found this practice. Not sure where the negative ratings are from! I wish I could explain in a comment how grateful I am to have found Dr Durand. I have struggled for years with symptoms that i finally found out were Lyme disease and other tick Bourne infections. Countless appointments and medical bills with other providers later I finally found Dr Durand. He is the ONLY Dr. I have ever left the office and felt a sense of hope and relief. I’m thankful for all of the care he puts in to his work and patients and it really shows. He is incredibly knowledgeable. I felt like I was slowly losing myself and I truly don’t know where I would be if I didn’t find him! And the staff is always wonderful here. I’m always greeted by friendly staff and they are always able to help.

image To be clear, this is a review of the practice, NOT my doctor. Dr Bishop is amazing and the best PCP I’ve had. Family Tree, however, is so poorly run I felt compelled to write this review to save someone else from this pounding headache of a place. Buckle up.
I’m 40 weeks pregnant. Time is of the ESSENCE. Gotta check things off my list quick these days, such as prescription refills. It took 5 DAYS to get this place to follow through and get my script sent to the pharmacy. 5. Days. That’s the equivalent of 365 days in pregnancy time. I called with a couple days remaining of my script. When it ran out, I gave it a couple more days since it was the weekend. Finally I needed to just get this done.
It took me calling them, over and over, repeating what I need, and even finally carting my huge self over to the office and explaining in person for them to say “the doctor will send it in after he’s done with his current patient.” It was 4:15 and my doc is on vaca, so the covering physician just needed to sign off.
I went to the pharmacy and waited. And waited. The office closed. The pharmacy closed. My sorry pregnancy self went home and cried in the shower while simultaneously trying to comfort myself with chocolate donuts (sorry, Dr Bishop, the sugar was necessary).
The hormones took over. Why would these people straight up ignore a simple request from such a pregnant, pregnant woman? I couldn’t sleep. Head pounding. Belly full of chocolate. Heart full of hate. Ribs full of baby kicks.
I call again this morning. “The prescription was sent in yesterday! Yes, it says here, it was called in at 4pm by your PCP.” ASTONISHING. My PCP who was on vacation? Dear lord I hope they didn’t call him just for a script to be signed off when the covering doctor could’ve done it. Also- This must be some kind of black magic since I was sitting at the pharmacy while the poor pharmacist looked on with pity as their phone sat silent. No script waiting for me. At 5pm yesterday. For an hour. I asked in disbelief, knowing this woman was blatantly lying to me, if the prescription was actually called in since I was AT THE PHARMACY well after 4p. “Oh yes, must’ve been a delay or something.” A delay in the space-time continuum? That’s the only reasonable explanation. Or, maybe, they were just straight up lying to me.
So, I call the pharmacy a few minutes later. What’s this? They JUST got the call from my doctors office? The script will be ready in half an hour? WHY WAS THAT SO DIFFICULT AND WHY DID IT TAKE FIVE DAYS TO ACCOMPLISH? I’ll never know. Because instead of straight communication I just continued to be brushed off and eventually overtly lied to about this whole situation. Until, of course, a month from now when I need the refill and have to go through all of this again, but hopefully with a one-month-old in tow. If the process is quick and easy next time, I’ll make sure to edit my review. Stay tuned for the saga of the prescription of deception.
