    Michael and his team were incredible. The menu they created for our wedding was spectacular - everything was so fresh and flavorful. His staff was so attentive and kind, I could go on forever! I recommend this catering company so genuinely, I'll never stop raving about them! What they delivered was beyond all expectations - it was fantastic!!! 10/10!

    Ive taken a while to write a review on Portsmouth Catering Company, particularly because it took 4 months to actually settle everything. First things first, Michael tried to withhold our refund, unless my wife agreed to not write a bad review. She didnt really answer whether she agreed to that, but nonetheless, she can only speak for herself and there are consumer laws that allow me to write a truthful review. So although we think they screwed up a lot more than what I am going to mention, I will stick to the main points that were Portsmouth catering companies fault. There is a huge lack of communication from Michael which was the main problem that led to the many other issues. Our coordinator who recommended PCC told us after we had these issues that communication isnt their strong suit. Which wouldve been nice to know before. When we booked Michael, we discussed our venue and who we had as our wedding coordinator(that recommended him). He told us he had worked with them multiple times before and there were no issues. ONE WEEK prior to the wedding he told us that she isnt technically the type of wedding coordinator we needed and that was the reason for his poor communication and it was our fault for booking him without a coordinator. Months prior to our wedding, we had an in person meeting to try the food, where we decided what we wanted and what we didnt want. Michael took notes but must have lost them because our guests were not served what we picked out that day, leaving incorrect sides served on our wedding night. He blamed us because supposedly on his online site he uses, he never updated what we had agreed on in person. The food was served cold, and he even admitted that the first person who was served said that her food was cold; dont you think if the first person says it, everyones food would be cold? Aside from the food, we had over 30 guests tell us how rude one of the bartenders where. At one point, guests were told to save their plastic cups to save the planet, which we had supplied plenty of, and we ended up having hundreds of extras. Im not the health department, but i dont think they would think that its very sanitary. In the days following wedding day, Michael emailed us, before we reached out, and offered a small compensation for the inconveniences. We wrote back with a list of all the issues we encountered with his service and asked for a reasonable amount, but that is when he started to point the finger and refused to offer more then the small 8% refund. 4 months later and multiple emails asking him to send the check, we finally got it but not after an email trying to get my wife to agree that we wont write a negative review, or anyone associated with us. But, if I read this review before hiring him, we probably wouldnt have. It makes me wonder if Im the first person he has dangled money over. So this is definitely more of a truthful review, rather than a negative review because there were plenty of other issues we had with Portsmouth catering company that I could write about in a negative review.

    We hired Portsmouth Catering company for our wedding, and the results were delicious. We had some unique challenges in terms of food allergies, and not only were they handled, but the quality and taste of the food was not impacted in the slightest. All of the staff were professional and helpful, and we didn't notice a single issue with the flow of food and drinks all night. Further, the staff did a wonderful job of keeping themselves and our guests safe attending even our small event in the current unique world state. I would whole-heartedly recommend them!

    Michael, Deb, and the entire Portsmouth Catering team are a dream to work with! As a wedding planner, I work with a lot of caterers and working with them was one of the best experience I've ever had. My clients picked Portsmouth Catering after being dissatisfied with the initial caterer they had chosen, and they were super excited to have found Michael. Leading up to the wedding, Michael and Deb were extremely communicative and fast to respond. They hadn't worked at the venue before, but took the time to visit in person and become familiar with the space and the kitchen so that there were no surprises day-of. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time and took the time to review the timeline with me to make sure we were all 100% on the same page. The food was absolutely incredible and all of the guests were raving about it! They went above and beyond throughout the day to make sure me, other vendors, and of course the couple and their guests were supported. I cannot recommend Portsmouth Catering enough - they are truly a dream to work with, and I hope to have the chance to work with them again soon!
