My girlfriend and I had a lovely time staying at the Inn at Crystal Lake. Our room was clean and cozy, feeling authentic to the white mountains, and our host, Tim, was polite and helpful (and makes a mean breakfast). We can't wait to go back for a full weekend away, and enjoy some food and a show when it reopens in full!

Cool old house done up as a B&B or inn, nice rooms.

Very beautiful decor, quiet, serene surroundings. Great blueberry crumb bread in the morning with coffee. Blueberries straight from owners property. A walk to the lake. Check out Max's restaurant. There was a special event, so , no cocktails on the porch. However, the grounds are spectacular...

I am sad to say that after many years coming here and loving it I had such an unbelievable experience. My husband and I have gotten to know the owner Tim well enough over the years , so we thought. On a recent expected weekend for a visit I had to cancel the day before after changing the day to start with. I did in fact offer to pay the late cancel fee. (Have photos of all things written) I didn’t hear from him until the night we would have checked in. He called and I explained to him that I had sent a message having to cancel and were very sorry, would be happy to pay the late cancel fee and told him we would call the following week. He said that was fine, he didn’t get the message, but would talk to me next week. He then, thirty minutes later started calling me some times 12 times in less than a minute. At first when he started to call I didn’t realize he was doing it on purpose as he wouldn’t say anything. So I called back a couple of times and the same thing, wouldn’t say a word. Until two hours later he actually called me a “ dirty F**^+ng C**^. In SHOCK I told my husband and he immediately called him back, being after 11pm and told him he had better stop calling us. He continued for another hour… before stopping. He sounded drunk and to look at his Facebook page a few days later explaining he had a very bad night, loss of sister anniversary, etc. I called the sheriffs department the very next morning and they attempt to call with no answer. The following morning the sheriff went to the inn and spoke to his partner Bobby. Tim was apparently unavailable. Bobby said he was his boss and it would never happen again. What an incredibly horrid , horrid person. NEVER in my life have I been called something like that and over and over. He left several voice messages which I have also saved onto a thumb drive so as to not to lose. I would never recommend this place or anything he owns to anyone… so this is certainly a warning to people , you just never know. Tim you are a disgrace to the hospitality industry. It took a long time but the true colors have shone right through sadly.
