Stephen Gemmett, MD

I have a very hard time believing any negative review posted about Stephen Gemmett. Having worked for him in the past I have seen first hand what a knowledgeable, compassionate and overall wonderful physician he truly is. I have so much trust and faith in him that I even had him treat my own family members. Anyone who seeks medical care from Dr. Gemmett will not be disappointed.

Dr Gemmett is excellent. He is very intelligent and caring. Everyone in the office is wonderful.

He shouldn’t be practicing. Horrible experience during the end of Summer 2017 in his office across from WDH. I was extremely sick (as in almost died and at this point WDH was trying to figure out what was wrong) and he made me feel awful. Told me he had more important patients and that I was wasting his time. When he recommended something (a test or procedure); it didn’t sound right to me, so I stated I wanted to discuss it with my mother who is an excellent nurse (40+ years) and he shouted down the hallway to reception “I needed to discuss it with my mommy.” I left the appointment in tears with how he treated me. WDH’s Wound Center had booked another appointment (about a week after that awful first one) for me with him at the Wound Center, for some sort of test/consultation and he never showed or bothered to call the Wound Center to say he wasn’t coming. They had me wait for almost 2 hours for him as I was in agonizing pain. I refused to deal with him any further and made it know to WDH under my patient’s rights he isn’t allowed anywhere near me, my case, or medical records. I have an extremely rare, beyond painful, and highly fatal disease (usually a 6 months life expectancy) but I guess that’s not important enough for him.I definitely would have died if I had continued dealing with him because of his arrogance, ignorance, and obvious hatred for young females.
