I recently visited JD Howard Dental in Dover, NH, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On one hand, I genuinely appreciate the quality of the dental work provided; the team there clearly knows what theyre doing and they do it well. The environment is clean, and the staff is professional, which made me feel comfortable throughout my cleaning appointment. However, I couldnt help but notice a recurring theme during my visit, which was the focus on finances. Right from the moment I scheduled my appointment, there was a considerable emphasis on ensuring that all financial aspects were sorted in advance. While I understand the importance of clarity in such matters, the extent to which this was emphasized felt a bit overwhelming. Upon my arrival, the first point of discussion was again the finances, with a request for further assurances that the bill would be settled. Despite providing my insurance information, which was verified on the spot, the financial discussions didnt end there. Even as I was leaving, the conversation once again turned to insurance and billing. To add to my concerns, upon returning from a week-long trip, I was greeted by a $712 bill. While I recognize that dental practices are businesses that need to ensure their services are paid for, the extent of the focus on payment at JD Howard Dental felt disproportionate to me. It almost seemed as though the priority was more on securing payment than on the dental service itself. In summary, while I value the quality dental care provided by JD Howard Dental, I believe there could be a better balance in their approach to handling financial matters. A more relaxed and trusting approach, with less repetitive emphasis on payment, would significantly enhance the overall patient experience.
