THE Urban Market

Urban Market is different from other "convenient stores" . People say it's expensive, but upon further inspection, you'll see the difference. Prices are set to pay the overhead and employees. The food is from Nevada companies, and it's gourmet foods that are a cut above grocery stores. What you pay for, the money you pay STAYS in Nevada, here in Washoe County. Plus ... when the cashier rings it all up, you also get a 10% discount. The food is really good, the employees are friendly, and it's all good. If everbody would take a closer look, and try this store out, they'd see the difference. I've been buying from Urban Market now since they first opened and was GLAD TO SEE some locals open a decent store. If you get a chance...try the espresso/latte and juice/smoothie bar, or try a wine cooler or some beers. There's cable TV and you'll see, URBAN MARKET is a better convenient store in the downtown area. It's got produce, frozen shrimp, pizza-pizza or whatever y'need. You'll be satisfied.

Friendly staff that's not afraid to engage you in conversation. Products they carry seem to be sold at a reasonable price. Went there on a Sunday late afternoon and was not busy at all. Items sold are comparable to a 7-eleven. I didn't see any produce.

I used to go here often for snacks and quick dinners. I bought a rotisserie chicken and it was raw. When I called them a lady told me to bring it back I had to dig it out my trash and take it back to get a refund. Maybe had I taken a bite and gotten sick and filed a lawsuit I could have at least gotten a more sincere apology. I wish i could add photos to this post.
