The El Guicho Meat Market is a wonderful Mom & Pop's shop. While it is still being renovated by new owners they've shown a lot of good faith and promise. What their building lacks in exterior looks, they make up with pure Mexican Heart. Don't go if you want a Tahoe Foo Foo store. Only go, if you want excellent prices for modern, everyday Mexican flavors. I think of them as more a local, Mexican Trader Joe's...
Their homemade fajita mixes and flavorings are fabulous - check out the chicken! Their selection of Mexican and Brasilian sour creams are heaven. They also have an excellent selection of spices and dried meats.
It's also a favorite of local UNR students!
