Took mercury optimax to Jim told him had two codes in ecm that need need to be erased heat sensor and oil assembly tank had been replaced. Codes can only be removed by mercury computer. Charge me 135 to do nothing. Codes not erased. Took boat to Henderson Nevada to aqua marina. Took him 5 minutes to 100 percent fixed .pushed one button on his hand held computer boats runs like new . Take my word no out board mechanical people in bull head.sorry to say a bunch of dummies here .good luck looking for one pricey adventure not much resolve

I let my boat sit for to long took it to Desert Rec. To have them get it going. 800 bucks later. Let's see how it runs. Will come back for update. Ps don't let your boat just sit there, use it. Update: took the boat out and it would not engage, some bushings had broken I guess they didn't run it. Now take it out again and this time a loud whistling noise is happening turns out that my oil reservoir went bad and steering its very difficult so another $320 and let's see what happens next. Don't let your boat just sit..
