Update: March 1 I called to ask for security to do a round in front of my house at 4:34 PM. There are people parked in a non parking zone of our cul-de-sac "hanging out" inside their car, comfortable and with the windows down. All Triton has to do is drive by and let the people know that they are parked in a non-parking zone or are parked in an area where they shouldn't be parked. It's 4:58 and there is still no security car in sight. I am not even confident that dispatched put in the call to the car considering that she had me on hold to answer four other calls before I got to finish explaining why I had called. If this is the best security company in the Valley then I have no fear or reverence for any security company assisting Las Vegas Communities. It is now 5:01 and there is still no satisfactory response or action to my call. False Sense of Security. I’ve never had calling the police to be such an ordeal. I miss the days that I could call a local number and someone would pick up even in a non-emergency situation and send an officer to look upon the reason for my call. I miss Lakewood. ...Tried calling local security (Triton) which told me that since I live on a public street I would need to call 311 regarding an illegitimately parked vehicle and have the police deal with it. This is the first timeI have ever been told this. I call 311 and it takes 10 minutes to get through all of their prompts (before reaching option 6 for police dispatch). I received no assistance in my non emergency from 10:43 till 11:19. Triton security rolls around the cul-de-sac long after the incident has cleared. The security rules seem to change from one dispatcher to the next. The more I call Triton, the more I feel that security anywhere is just smoke and mirrors. They could have pulled beside the vehicle, call 311 on behalf of a neighborhood complaint, etc. Police should be easier to access. This baby town sure can use an improvement on getting through to “law and order.†🙄 I don’t know if I ever want to call them ever again. They’re difficult.
