DO NOT USES THIS COMPANY!!!!! The day of the move they were supposed to be our place at 3:00. Heard from them at 3:30 saying they could not locate the truck and the movers said it was treacherous weather and they were not coming. It was only sprinkling and by the time they called it had stopped completely. Meanwhile we had everything packed in boxes and power turned off so had to get a hotel room which cost us money and was a huge inconvenience. We have moved a lot and this was the worse company we have ever had. So unprofessional!

This was absolutely the worst experience ever. They sent a team of inexperienced children who didn't even come prepared to disassemble furniture, didn't use dolly or safety gear, didn't wear masks, were just there to run clock and scam us. You better take two trucks even if you don't need it or your stuff will be left because they don't do their jobs and the company won't take responsibility for them. They didn't wrap or protect any of our brand new furniture and all of it was damaged. They will not give you what your damages are worth and will not negotiate even though they break contract. The only reason I got a response was because I had to contact the CEO. No customer service, just a scam company run by kids who could care less about you or what they tell you. Too many complaints with BBB, don't use this company!

I have used bellhops service twice and both times they have been absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this company for your moving needs. They were on time, wrapped my furniture, respectful of my home and got my furniture to its destination with ease.

I was lucky to discover Bellhops as an alternative for a recent out of State move. This was my first move using professionals and as I researched moving companies was shocked to discover the industry is dominated by reputable but very high priced companies and budget but mostly shady companies. The former seem to cater for moves paid for by employers and use large trucks which take multiple loads and can take weeks to arrive and yes, have eye-watering prices (3x what we ended up paying with Bellhops). The latter are actually mostly brokers who farm out your move to the lowest bidders. They use high pressure sales tactics, have wretched reviews and BBB scores, will often ask for huge deposits up front (illegal), charge multiple overages on the day, and may hold your stuff for weeks. Stories of damage and theft of items are not-uncommon among them. So as I mentioned - luckily I discovered Bellhops when I was looking for some no-move movers to help with packing a truck I'd rent and drive myself. When I realized Bellhops also did out of State moves and their estimate was not much more than the cowboys (including full value insurance - which was optional), a fraction of the big chains price, was fixed price, and I would get a dedicated truck that would arrive the next day! Given the big chains are fully booked in the summer so only one of many that I contacted could do anything with under a month notice, one gave me an earliest date of 12 weeks out. In contrast Bellhops offered us several dates under 3 weeks out, and in the end we didn't fix the day until 2 weeks before and they still have flexibility with no penalty if you need to change more than 48 hours before. When you're buying a house and in contract that kind of flexibility is golden! After the original online estimate we did a video walkthrough and I was worried when they said there would be some slight increases due to the amount of stuff we had - it was literally only 5% over the original estimate. I signed the contract and let them get on with it. Bellhops gives you a lot of communication, lets you know all your team who will be working on your job, direct communication with them the day before. The teams at both ends were punctual, polite and worked hard. For our ~1200 sf apartment we had a driver, a coordinator packing the truck, and four movers getting everything to the truck. The move was scheduled for 8am and the coordinator and driver arrived bang on. They worked hard for over four hours wrapping furniture and moving boxes, and jammed that 26-foot truck full. As promised everything arrived the next day at 8am again. With a 10 hour drive we barely had time to sleep before the four man unloading team were hard at it on a hot day and all our stuff was in our place within an hour and a half. Overall I was very happy with Bellhops - moving can be very expensive and a stressful time. What Bellhops delivered was great value, a professional service, and I would definitely use them again. I'd originally priced out moving myself - renting a maximum sized U-Haul truck, hiring teams at both ends (no way I could load and unload on my own anyway), and driving myself both ways (you can't get a one-way U-Haul this time of year) plus gas, insurance, and a one-way flight. It came to about 75% of what Bellhops charged and that didn't account for 20 hours of driving, the stress of trying to coordinate everything, and ensure everything arrived safe and sound. So really I think Bellhops was great value - and a fair price. There was still stress - packing sucks and until you have used a company you really just don't know how things will work out. But they definitely delivered on the day in all respect. Even if someone else was paying for a future move that covered the $$$ prices of the big chains I'd still want to use Bellhops for speed, communication, and scheduling flexibility. I hope they do well as a business, keep the affordable and reasonable prices, and help disrupt the moving business. Service: Out-of-county removals
