I have gone to Nevada State Behavioral Health for over a year now. Yes, there are a few issues now and then but everyone there works their butt off (and for very little pay). Maribelle and Alexis are excellent and really try to coordinate all the appointments and transportation. And they get to deal with people who are angry and yell at them (me, sometimes, I'm sorry) but yet the two always seem to keep their attitudes happy and they always smile and ask how you are. Always. Sharon, saved my life. If it weren't for her I would not be here. She is very compassionate, a good listener and gives practical advice. She doesn't ask you (like some therapists do) to just put a smile on your face and say positive things. That's not helpful in severe depression and actually makes your situation worse. Sharon would turn herself inside out for me. I call her the MollyWhisperer. Her office setting is relaxing and so is Sharon. I may reject things she says, but when I get home and think about it I realize she's right. She has offered to stay late to fit me in for an appointment (WHO does that??). I'm going through an incredibly difficult situation. I was 100% lost when I entered NSBHS but now I feel like I have someone who cares about me and my situation. I was having my own pity party for awhile and didn't go for a month or so. They called me and asked if I wanted or needed anything. Just a lot of caring people, working very hard, not making much money, And they're on your side. Which means a lot.
