THT Health

I've been waiting for two months for my newborn son to be added to the insurance. My bills are being sent to me with the out-of-pocket price, and it's stressful. I've emailed THT three times, and it took them three weeks to even send me an automatic reply saying they have an "increased volume of requests." Sorry, but I don't care. It's ridiculous to wait for a reply for three weeks while emailing multiple times. Of course, I've also called multiple times, but nothing is being done. Horrible since they switched to UMR.

Tht is not paying their bills. Providers are dropping tht clients, more providers each day are not available to us. Recently received letter from comprehensive cancer centers they will no longer accept new patients with tht insurance. Ccea keeps making excuses, don’t want excuses, only remedies. Bottom line, tht is in breach of contract with paying bills and as a result doctors / hospitals are accepting tht less and less each day. Teachers quality of care is in steep decline each day tht does not pay past due claims

I have no idea what company these other folks are reviewing. I had to contact the Better Business Bureau several times to get these people to process claims. Imagine receiving medical bills at your house weekly in excess of $40000 because your health insurer is bogus. UPDATE: Now we're at the eye doctor and I have learned that THT doesn't pay for glasses exams and contact exams, only the eye exam. I hate THT and I hate CCSD...so glad I resigned.

I am writing this review for one person at Teacher's Health Trust and one person only. Michael Steinbrink! I returned from a leave of absence and have had one problem after another with THT getting my insurance coverage right! Michael was the only representative that went above and beyond to help me with my situation. Long story short, someone at THT either didn't care to enter information correctly or there is a complete breakdown of communication, take your pick. In any event someone wasn't paying attention and relayed incorrect enrollment information to what was my primary insurance which caused my primary insurance to think I had another insurance all along that I did not claim. My primary then asked for all of their payments back from every doctor that I saw during a period in which I WAS NOT COVERED under THT. This, in turn, caused a complete mess of misunderstandings, my being hounded by phone calls for money that I didn't owe in the first place, and a lot of my time to correct it! Michael was instrumental in correcting the mistake and without him I would still be trying to get things straight! He is the only reason why I am giving THT 5 stars!
