Doris French Elementary School

Terrible school.Starting from the rude front desk that takes the registration of students. So unprofessional and rude.A few teachers are good, but some are just plain awful. Unprepared, uncaring, only there to get a check.I do not recommend this school at all.If I could, I would give zero stars.

The principal and the teachers really care about the students. It's truly a team effort.

I guess I'm not the only one. I kept asking to speak to administrator face to face because my daughter is scoring to high in class and I didn't feel she was being challenged. Her teacher pretends to be nice but she's not. She told my daughter she is slow. (And she's not I tell my daughter to always take her time) As I've done further testing I see my daughter is in fact advanced and should be moved up but principal called me and left a voicemail with attitude I may add. She said her teacher said she shouldn't be moved.I don't care what the teacher says if her test scores say other wise. They don't care about the kids.I do want to say if your child is in pre-k Ms. Sebastian and Ms. Tina did an AMAZING JOB with my daughter. I saw the extreme difference. Can't wait to go to the school district and complain and I'm grateful for testing my daughter. All of this will look good for my daughter and will be the evidence I need to say yes you are wrong and you just don't care about my daughter. If you can help it don't bring your children here. If your moving in the area make sure it's not in your school zone. Im EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

Front office staff is rude, especially the main lady sitting at the  front desk, such a warm welcome to our children everyday let alone us!! On my kids first day, new incoming 1st and K and my son was terrified to start a new school, I told him I would walk him to class before we got there, while there she very rudely  corrected me and said "no you can't take  him" as he cried being lead away!!! I saw the principle come out and whisper to the ride front desk lady "another new one" as if to get the signal that she had  to go put on her show for us. Because that's exactly  what it is!! Three days later I walked my daughter to the door of the school to drop her off, the principal didn't realize I was standing right there as my daughter asked her if she could please show her where her class was again, the PRINCIPAL said "you know where it is by now!" Day 3, age 5!!!! My daughters K teacher is amazing and super nice!! So I can't speak on all of the teachers, I'm sure there are many great ones here. But there is no organization for either of my kids!! We came from a school where they taught so much more than just academics, organization is a key to success!! My son has only declined since coming to thIs  school and the teacher takes no accountability!  He says she yells at all the kids, I've asked to have him moved, there's no excuse for a 1st grader to be getting low marks and the teacher to be blaming his previous school. I'd rather homeschool forever than take them back to this school.

Staff in front office, mainly the white lady at the front is incredibly rude and grumpy every single time I go in, never smiles, seems like she hates her job. Quit if you are miserable. Also, my son got bullied, choked, pushed, etc while in 2nd grade here and nothing extensive was done. His teacher helped us handle it but I don't think the office staff did much. I think a lot of teachers are great here but the administration is crap. Also the PE coach doesn't care if a student has a sick note, he ignored my sons note and made him do physical activity when my son had PNEUMONIA! Lots of trashy parents. So glad to not have my kids in this school anymore. 2 stars only for the few good teachers. NO IDEA how this school is rated eight out of ten, someone had to have been paid out.
