Ordered a cake for my wife's birthday and Sasha and Rick were able to accommodate me despite a relatively short time frame. I chose a Game of Thrones theme as my wife is a superfan, we discussed some of the possibilities, and in the end I gave them full reign to do what they thought would turn out best. Sasha checked in regularly with different ideas and possibilities, but I wanted to give them as much artistic license as possible. I'm glad I did! The cake was visually spectacular, something that would easily be a centerpiece at a HBO wrap party, not just a family gathering. The sculpted dragon, shading, height, and details were impeccable. Because of the time, foam was used to sculpt and add height which in the end was fantastic, as we went home with a souvenir to display for friends who weren't there to see as well. For the size of the party, having it multitiered would have left us with a huge excess of cake anyways. The cake itself was moist, uniquely island flavored, and delicious. Sasha was not only professional but always enthusiastic, responsive, and just an all around pleasure to work with. All in all, a unique, once in a lifetime cake splurge...well, until the next big event. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend CakeLava wholeheartedly!

Oh boy oh boy where do I start.I just want to say WOWWWWW. Cake Lavas cake absolutely crushed it. First off the cake itself I had an idea of what I generally was looking for a cake direction wise, but wasnt sure how I wanted it executed and the creativity of both Rick and Sasha absolutely blew my mind. I had to stay within a certain budget, and they deffff went above and beyond anything I could have ever dreamed or imagined. The cake not only turned out BRILLIANT but was the complete star of the show. Everyone could not stop talking about it the whole night.plus on top of it all, it tasted SOOOOO good that we actually even came back to the hotel room just to eat more of it!!!! Better than (and for sure more value packed) than any Vegas night out at a club!!!! Next there was the clear communication between us. Going back and forth they were so prompt on answering all my questions and emails and deff kept me in the loop the entire time. The customer service and easygoing energy of Sasha was everything you would want in this type of experience. They also brought it to Tao before the birthday dinner, and made it easy on me so that I didnt have to pick it up.I am soooo grateful and blessed that I decided to ask them to help with this cake project. Honestly its been about a month since my cake experience and I am still gleaming thinking about it and smiling ear to ear. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend hiring them for anything cake related for your projects .so much so If I had an event in another state I would deff entertain the idea of flying to pick it up. They are wonderful at what they do and to hire anybody else would be a tragic mistake. I am so excited for the next time I get to work with them and cant wait to see what we can create next time!!! And to Sasha and Rick- thank you again for making the evening so special.

THIS IS THE PLACE to get the best, most jaw-dropping cake you can ever have at your special celebration.  I wish I could give them 50 stars as I would.  I started working with  Sasha months ago on a custom cake for my husband's milestone birthday and she was an absolute doll!!  She kept in constant contact with me and we discussed how Rick envisioned the cake.  Then, the night of seeing the cake, EVERYONE that saw it (my husband, his family and every person in the restaurant) LOVED it and couldn't believe that this sculpture was a cake!!  Nobody wanted to cut it to serve it!  It was so delicious too...that we wanted seconds and thirds!!  If you are looking for a custom cake that will be REMEMBERED for years and years - LOOK NO FURTHER than CakeLava.   You will be so happy that you did.  THANK YOU SASHA AND RICK for creating such a stunningly amazing cake for my husband's birthday!!
