I had very good consultation with James Claflin regarding a custody issue for a father. He was attentive, informative and gave very solid advice - He actually took some extra time , unbilled time And the advice given resulted in me actually not taking action for the moment, thereby bringing in less money for him. I definitely felt he was eithical, fair, and intelligent.

The claflins Have been amazing with my many rough patches throughout my divorce. They have been supportive and talked me through and given me advice and ultimately everything was done and finalized w everyones best interest in mind. I would highly recommend them.

Went there today for a consultation. Finding this place was kinda hard...it's in a huge office complex on Paradise and Sands called "The Hughes Center".  His building is 3753 and you go in the building and up the elevator to the second floor and take a left out of the elevator and you'll find the receptionist.  Mr. Claflin was on time for our appointment.  He is very friendly and seems knowledgeable.  He explained to me how to do it myself.  I guess he could have taken my money and done it but it was a pretty simple fix and he walked me through it.   The consultation was $200 but if you decide to use him as your attorney they apply that money towards your fees.  To me, it was worth the $200 just to find out the information.  He also told me about the ask-a-lawyer program at Clark County Family Court.  he Family Law Ask-A-Lawyer Program takes place every Thursday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Family Courthouse, located at 601 North Pecos, Las Vegas, NV. Space is limited, and you must register in advance in order to meet with an attorney. Sign up either in person at the Family Law Self-Help Center or by calling (702) 386-1070 x 1731 (phone signups begin Monday mornings at 9:00 a.m.). He told me that while doing this myself if I have any questions I can go there and they will help me.
