Since September of 2023, I have been given awesome medical care across the board- supportive staff; my PCP and team. I am glad I am able to keep my care local!

Had to have an iron transfusion last Tuesday before work. I just want to show how thankful I am for the nurses at Golden Health and NGM. Ariana Johnston was awesome as my nurse. Made me feel very comfortable, offered me snacks, and I didnt even feel the needle go in my vein. She answered all my questions with compassion and took away any doubt I have:). Our little clinic gets so much bad publicity but they have always been good to me. Ilove my primary physician and he sends me to specialists when needed. Next, the out of pocket at our clinic for iron transfusions is $1090. I almost cancelled and thought maybe I can take more iron pills even though I can barely take what I do now. I called Ariana first to talk about the deductible. She informed me that I would only have to pay $250 because NGM steps in and pays the rest. NGM wants to make sure their employees dont back out like I was going to do. Plus the full $1090 goes towards our deductible. One of the little things people dont see that our company does. I still cant understand why Iron Transfussions are so much but I was even more surprised to find out the average cost in other areas is over $5000. That just seems so crazy to me. Im so grateful to have a good job working for a good company. Believe me I have my frustrations and then reality slaps me in the face with what was just given to me by just being an employee.

I went in to ask about my constant back pain, the doctor literally pulled up google to tell me it was sciatic problems. She told me there was stretches I could do, then didnt tell me any of them. I also asked why I was gaining weight even though my diet hasnt changed and Im exercising more. She said it could be low-Testosterone. When the results came back from labcorp I was flagged for low-T. I was told it wasnt low enough, nevermind the little red flags next to the numbers. She then told me I should go to her other office and pay for semiglutides out of pocket. I would rather slam my fingers in a car door than go back to those medical professionals

I have started doing infusions here this month is my 2nd the experience has been wonderful super nice people.
